people of India celebrates National Youth Day. Schools are the main institutions
where national youth day is celebrated. Do you know why this day is celebrated?
On 12th January – Swami Vivekananda was born. He was one of the
great leader, thinker and innovator.
In today’s fast changing world, academic excellence alone is
not enough. Students need strong character, self-belief, communication skills
and leadership qualities. Well-planned national youth day activities in

students give short speech on youth empowerment, thought for the day based on
self -belief and discipline.

Our pre-primary school in Domjur organises essay and
creative writing activities for students. They get a golden opportunity to
write essays on swami Vivekananda. Through this, students can gain a deep knowledge
about him, what kind of person he was. Themes on writing may include – youth
power and responsibility, my vision for better India, lessons from swami
Vivekananda life.
Group discussions and debate sessions
These kinds of activities are also organised by our school.
Possible topics such as can youth change society? education vs skills – what
matters more?, and role of students in social change. Students learn to listen,
